"Seann William Scott likes to hang out at restaurants that are known for their delicious pies. He hopes that, upon already having been dwelling upon pies, customers will somehow connect his face, in their memory, with the American Pie Franchise from which he gained brief, somewhat tenuous, pseudo-notoriety. He sometimes grows desperate for this fleeting glimpse of validation, but that is not how memory works. He will only be recognized by people that have “just watched it last week”, or, as he’s aged and Netflix has rationed him an empty, embarrassed mirror of recognition, “just last night!” It still thrills him. Sometimes, though, I worry he can’t sleep if he goes unidentified for too long."
